Welcome to laura’s little kitchen
Hi! My name is Laura, and I’m a 27-year-old northerner trying to navigate life in London. By day I’m a book editor, and by night I’m a runner, parent of a goofy cat and crocheter of cuddly animals that never get finished. All in all, I’m not a particularly brilliant adult, but I really want to try and get there in at least one area of my life – the kitchen.
Over the years since leaving uni, I’ve been honing my skills in the kitchen, largely thanks to having the appetite of a sumo wrestler and also a flatmate who will get irate over improper pepper-chopping technique (true story). I’m far from a perfect cook (looking at you, flatbreads), but I’ve definitely come a long way from the instant noodle eating student of days gone by.
I don’t have the money to buy expensive ingredients or equipment, but I love the challenge of making exciting lunches to take to work that brighten up my day and fill me up for the afternoon. Why not join me on my quest to discover new, easy recipes that will curb your Pret addiction and make you actually want to get busy in the kitchen?
